FAQ: General
Any general questions you may have about our dispensers.
Is your water filter NSF certified?
Yes, our 3M filter has been tested and certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI Standard 42 (reduction of aesthetic impurities such as chlorine taste/odour) and Standard 53 (reduction of parasitic cysts). Hence you can be assured that the filtered water you are drinking is safe and meets international quality standards for drinking water.
Which country is the Atlantic dispenser manufactured in?
The dispenser casing and system are developed and manufactured in China, whereas the 3M filter cartridge and head bracket are manufactured in the US. The final end product is assembled by our team in Singapore.
Do I need to top up water for the dispenser?
The Atlantic dispenser is connected directly to your water supply line, hence there is no need for you to top up any water or store bulky refill bottles. This makes it extremely convenient for all users.
Does the Atlantic dispenser consume a lot of electricity?
The Atlantic dispenser is designed to be energy efficient. It will go into standby mode when not in use, and the electricity consumed during this mode is insignificant.
Is water being reboiled inside the hot water tank?
A thermostat helps to maintain the temperature of the hot water in the 85-90°C range. The water will only be reboiled when the thermostat senses that the water temperature is not hot enough.
If a large amount of hot water is dispensed out, how long do we need to wait to get hot water at 85-90°C again?
Waiting time is 3-5 mins, depending on how much water was dispensed previously. When water is being heated/boiled, the hot water LED indicator light (red) will switch off temporarily. Once the hot water is ready, the indicator light will switch on again.
If a large amount of cold water is dispensed out, how long do we need to wait to get cold water at 6-10°C again?
Waiting time is 10-15 mins, depending on how much cold water was dispensed previously. When water is being cooled, the cold water LED indicator light (blue) will switch off temporarily. Once the cold water is ready, the indicator light will switch on again.
Is there an alkaline water filter?
No. The Atlantic dispenser uses a high quality 3M filter which filters impurities from the water and maintains the pH level of the water supplied by PUB. The benefits of drinking alkaline water are not proven scientifically, hence we do not focus on alkaline filters.
What material are the water tanks made of?
The hot water tank and cold water tank are made of 304 stainless steel, which is extremely hygienic and safe as it does not emit any toxins or chemicals. It is also very durable.
Does the dispenser have a discharge outlet?
No. The dispenser doesn’t discharge water via any other outlet except from the designated water dispensing spouts. The drip tray should be maintained regularly to remove any excess water.
